Plenty. An exhaustive list would require a book, so this is only a selection. For the record, I am excluding those who, like Bob Paisley and Kenny Dalglish at Liverpool or Vicente del Bosque at Real Madrid, didn't leave the club before being appointed manager.
Probably the outstanding example among current managers is Pep Guardiola, who played his last game for Barcelona in 2001 and returned, via Roma, Brescia, Al-Ahli and Sinaloa, initially as manager as Barcelona's B team. So far, he has won eight trophies as first-team manager, including La Liga twice, the Champions League and the Club World Cup, to add to the 16 he amassed as a player.
Guardiola's mentor, Johan Cruyff, also deserves a place on any such list. After a glorious playing career, he returned to Ajax to win the Cup Winners' Cup as manager and went back to Barcelona to win La Liga (four times), the Cup Winners' Cup and the European Cup.
